Leiden Knowledge Festival

for Everyone's Health and Well-being

How can you live a long and enjoyable life in Leiden? Discover it on June 22nd during the knowledge festival organized by the Leiden Healthy Society Center. From 1 PM to 5 PM, you can learn in a fun way what is happening in Leiden in the field of health and well-being at the Hooglandse Kerk.

The main language of the festival is Dutch. However, English speaking people are more than welcome. We will accomodate you as much as possible.

No registration necessary, but if you want to stay informed, “buy” your free ticket here!

Festival Grounds

The festival grounds are open from 1 PM to 5 PM. Plan for about an hour and a half if you want to experience all activities. This means you can stroll through the grounds at your own pace and visit the festival at any time.

Mobile MRI

Ever wondered how an MRI works? The LUMC is happy to show you through experiments with fruits and vegetables using their mobile MRI.

Expobike

This cargo bike is filled with care technology that makes daily activities easier. Students of Care and Welfare are eager to demonstrate them for you.

Visualize fine dust in the air through photography with the Citizen Science Lab.

Get a health check and see with the BENEFIT app how you can improve your heart health.

Baby Groente Tas

The Baby Vegetable Bag is a weekly ‘meal bag’ for your baby. Every week, it contains two fresh vegetables from the farmer, plus a recipe. Come and get acquainted!

Babies learn about the world around them through play. With different games, we can see what and how they learn.

Knowledge about Anxiety and Stress

Everyone experiences stress and anxiety in their life. During the festival, you can introduce your children to knowledge about stress and anxiety in a playful way. The KASacademy has developed games specifically for children from 6 years old.

Leiden is the beating heart of the Dutch Life Sciences & Health ecosystem and home to the Leiden Bio Science Park. During the Dutch Bio Science Week, from June 22 to 29, we bring everyone together to make meaningful connections and provide a behind-the-scenes look at where innovations are impacting our health.
